Acura Key Programming
Enter your Acura and ensure all of the doors are closed including the hood & trunk if any are open this will not work!
1) Turn your Acura key to position II. All dash lights should turn on, make sure you don’t start the vehicle. If you have a “Push To Start” START/STOP button, press it (Don’t push the brake).
2) Press “Unlock” on your working key fob: Press the lock button on the keyfob.
3) Turn The Key To I: Turn your Acura key back one click to position I. All lights will turn off.
4) Turn your Acura key to position II (Second Time). All dash lights should turn on, make sure you don’t start the vehicle. If you have a “Push To Start” START/STOP button, press it (Don’t push the brake).
5) Turn The Key To I: Turn your Acura key back one click to position I. All lights will turn off.
6) Turn your Acura key to position II (Third Time). All dash lights should turn on, make sure you don’t start the vehicle. If you have a “Push To Start” START/STOP button, press it (Don’t push the brake).
7) Press “Unlock” on your working key fob: Press the lock button on the keyfob.
8) Turn The Key To I: Turn your Acura key back one click to position I. All lights will turn off.
9) Turn your Acura key to position II (Fourth Time). All dash lights should turn on, make sure you don’t start the vehicle. If you have a “Push To Start” START/STOP button, press it (Don’t push the brake).
10) Press “Unlock” on your working key fob: Press the lock button on the keyfob.
11) Turn The Key To I: Turn your Acura key back one click to position I. All lights will turn off.
If done correctly, you should hear the door locks cycle, which means you have entered programming mode. Quickly press the lock button on all remotes that you would like to program. Keep in mind you can only program only 3 remotes.
Each one of the steps needs to be completed within 4 seconds. If you fail to perform it right or within 4 seconds, simply try again. You can do this!
Test all of the remotes you programmed and wallah!
